“We seized about 100 machines, give or take, and a considerable amount of money,” he said. “We haven’t finalized the numbers yet.”
The search warrant was issued shortly after the cafe opened. Rhodes said there was one customer and one staff member inside at the time.
No one was arrested. Rhodes said charges are expected to be filed after detectives complete their investigation and meet with the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
He added that the Lucky Day Internet Cafe would be declared a nuisance due to the city’s policy on illegal gambling, but the owners could appeal.
According to police, this is the only location relevant to the investigation.
