FS1 veteran Skip Bayless makes a living from his sometimes shocking sports performances. But lately, he’s been getting a lot of attention on social media for a completely different reason.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones claimed earlier this offseason that his plan was for the team to go “all in” this offseason in hopes of building a team with the potential to win the Super Bowl in the upcoming 2024-25 season. bowl team.
“It’s going to be all invested in different people than it has been in the past,” Jones said. By Cowboys reporter Nick Harris. “We’re going to give it our all. We’ve seen some things from some of the players that we want to give our all. Yeah, what I’m saying is you’re going to see us next year as opposed to building it for the future. This That’s the best way I’ve ever said it. That should answer a lot of questions.”
Despite Jones’ statement, the Cowboys have largely had a pretty quiet offseason and, unlike many of their NFC East peers, have not made any major moves in free agency so far.
That led Bayless to blast Jones with a simple four-word message on social media earlier this week.
Put it all in, my ass.

Obviously, without a very strategically placed comma, this tweet would have a completely different meaning. This was more of a talking point than the actual meaning behind the tweet itself, generating 7.6 million views and counting.
Bayless tweeted the message on his podcast “The Skip Bayless Show” on Friday, saying he had no regrets about how the message came to fans.
“I started with a question from Alex from Los Angeles,” Bayless said. “‘Why would you tweet something like that?’ Alex, the better question is, why wouldn’t I tweet something like that? So, last Tuesday night, I finally got tired of Jerry Jones on his Roman Bullshit while burning. I tweeted: “All in, my ass. “
“You know why I love Twitter (or now Short words, all separated by that all-important comma, that comma has to be there. Just those four words and I could break the internet. This little tweet has been hit 67 million times so far Browse. Because I hit a nerve. I hit the smoking hot oil just like Jerry Jones used to hit. Emotions came flooding back to me. Cowboys Twitter is tired of Jerry Jones on free agency Nothing is happening in the market. So am I this time.”

It’s pretty ridiculous for Bayless to think that the vast majority of replies to his now-viral tweet were actually responses to his criticism of the Cowboys.
In fact, about 90% of the replies were about his use of commas in his tweets, with most of them completely ignoring his actual football analysis.
No matter how you feel about Bayless, he’s still found a way to stay relevant on social media despite FS1’s sluggish ratings Undisputedalthough maybe not in the way he thought.
