Samsung has long been rumored to launch two Galaxy Z Fold6 models this year, likely in early to mid-July. However, rumors haven’t agreed on whether we’ll see the Fold6 and Fold6 Ultra, or the Fold6 and Fold6 FE, so that’s still up in the air.
To complicate matters, new rumors now coming out of China claim Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold FE and Galaxy Z Flip FE. It also gives us the size and chipset of both. Buckle up because this can be a wild ride.
Therefore, the Galaxy Z Fold FE is said to measure 155.1 x 67.1 x 14.2 mm when folded, while the Z Flip FE measures 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm when unfolded. Apparently, the Flip FE will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, while the Fold FE will use a mix of Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets depending on the market, with the latter said to be the yet-to-be-announced Exynos 2300 (although it could just be the Exynos 2200 as well).
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold FE and Z Flip FE alleged specs
RAM-wise, we’re looking at 12GB and 16GB options for the Fold FE, and a separate 8GB version for the Flip FE. Storage-wise, both come in 256GB and 512GB options.
Now, we usually tell you to treat these rumors with a healthy dose of skepticism, and for this one, you might want to apply an extra dose of skepticism. That’s not to say it all seems impossible, it’s just that there are so many rumors about Samsung’s next foldable and so little consensus about them that it’s all pretty confusing at the moment.
Anyway, we’ve heard before that two Z FEs were coming, but that was back in August of last year. A lot may have changed since then. As always, we’ll let you know when we find out more information.
