Infinix today launched its latest mid-range models, the Infinix Note 40, Note 40 Pro (4G and 5G versions) and Note 40 Pro Plus at the Sepang International Circuit in Selangor, Malaysia.
Infinix says its new specialized chip performs 204% better than traditional chips. The chip’s smaller size means electronic data doesn’t have to travel as far inside the phone, according to the company. According to Infinix, shorter distance means less heat, which equals better overall performance.
The chip has three modules covering a large area. There is support for different scenarios which means your phone can handle various charging functions such as Multi-speed fast charging , Bypass charging mode, Reverse charging mode and even multi-protocol fast charging.

At the same time, the high-precision power detection function constantly checks how much power is flowing into the phone in real time, and automatically adjusts settings to prevent overheating and keep the phone cool. In addition, the safety protection function is also loaded with 63 different protection schemes to cover your entire charging process.
Wireless charging has also been upgraded from 15W in last year’s model to 20W Wireless Magcharge. The company also released Infinix MagKit to make your magnetic charging experience super easy. It includes MagCase, MagPad charging pad and MagPower power bank for your phone.
According to Infinix, the Note 40 series can be charged even at temperatures as low as -20°C. Additionally, it features Bypass Charging 2.0, which filters current to keep your phone cool during intense gaming or binge-watching.
You can share power with other devices wired or wirelessly at speeds up to 10W. With PD3.0 protocol support, you can even use a mobile phone charger to charge your laptop.
In addition to the Cheetah X1 chip, the Note 40 Pro and 40 Pro Plus are also equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7020. However, the standard version is powered only by the Helio G99 Ultimate processor. The Pro Plus has up to 24GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the standard and Pro models are capped at 16GB of RAM.
The rest of the features are ones you’ll find on many of today’s beloved budget phones, including a 6.78-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen on all models with Gorilla Glass G55 protection. The screen has a 55-degree curve and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The Pro Plus’ battery keeps the lights on at 4,600mAh, while the Pro and regular versions come with 5,000mAh batteries.
Infinix has also launched a new feature called active aura A fusion of artificial intelligence and design. It brings a whole new vibe to the Note 40 series by lighting up the camera module with a realistic pulsation. The light show changes based on your activity, whether you’re answering a call or notification, playing a game or listening to music, charging your phone, or chatting with your voice assistant Folax.
